Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao, former minister T Harish Rao, and various party lawmakers were taken into custody by local authorities. The incident occurred when the police blocked these political figures from accessing the Telangana Assembly complex. The BRS members were wearing black shirts as a form of protest at the time of their detention. Following the police intervention, KT Rama Rao criticized the actions of the law enforcement officers, labeling the restriction on their movement as a negative development for democratic processes within the state.
