A Turkish judicial authority has ordered the imprisonment of 15 individuals awaiting trial following a nationwide operation. The investigation, coordinated from Ankara, initially targeted 28 people suspected of maintaining connections to the Gülen movement. Authorities conducted simultaneous raids across 15 provinces, resulting in the apprehension of 26 suspects, while the search for two additional individuals remains ongoing. Among the total group of 28, 12 are identified as public sector employees, though it remains unclear how many of these civil servants are included in the group currently detained. The Turkish government has consistently pursued members of this movement since the 2013 corruption inquiries, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan characterized as a plot orchestrated by the group's followers. The movement, founded by the late cleric Fethullah Gülen, is officially classified by the state as a terrorist organization.
