The Royal Thai Navy has initiated a rescue operation following the sinking of the fishing vessel S. Kanchanawari 888. Authorities are currently searching for five Myanmar nationals who remain unaccounted for, with concerns that they may be trapped within the submerged wreckage. A specialized team, including Navy SEALs and support from local rescue foundations, departed from Sattahip Naval Base in Chon Buri. The mission involves a transit to the incident site to conduct underwater search and recovery efforts. The operation is being coordinated by the First Area Maritime Security Command to address the emergency situation at sea.
