This statement follows recent incidents involving Turkish-owned vessels, such as the Yaşar and Nadezhda, which resulted in injuries to crew members. Erdoğan called upon both Moscow and Kyiv to exercise restraint and ensure the safety of vital shipping lanes. The Turkish presidency highlighted the need for responsible conduct to prevent further escalation in the region, noting that the safety of navigation remains a priority for international trade and grain transport.
