A tragic road accident occurred late Sunday night in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, resulting in the deaths of 12 pilgrims. The canter, which was transporting 32 devotees back to Budaun following a visit to Rajasthan's Bagad Dham, struck a road divider and overturned near the Khekra Kotwali area. Emergency services transported the injured to local medical facilities, where the death toll rose as victims succumbed to their injuries at a hospital in Meerut. Local authorities, including the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police, have visited the survivors to oversee their medical care. While one passenger alleged that another vehicle caused the collision, police officials are currently investigating the precise circumstances surrounding the incident. The victims, who were residents of the same village, were part of a group that has regularly traveled to the pilgrimage site for many years.
