The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education is set to increase resources for students with migrant backgrounds as their enrollment figures in the capital surpass 22,000. According to a policy roadmap released by the committee overseeing Superintendent Jung Geun-sik’s second term, the city plans to establish an additional multicultural education support center. Furthermore, the office intends to broaden the availability of preparatory schools focused on Korean language instruction. These initiatives are currently undergoing a feasibility review by education officials to ensure the effective integration of these students into the local school system. This strategic shift reflects the growing demographic diversity within Seoul's classrooms and the administration's commitment to providing equitable academic support for all learners.
