According to Central Bank data, the total assets held by pawnshops in Uzbekistan reached 937.7 billion soums by August 1, 2026, marking a 50% annual increase. Net loans remain the primary asset component, totaling 692.7 billion soums. The sector's total capital grew by 44% to 714.5 billion soums, while liabilities rose by 72% to 223.3 billion soums. Despite a slight reduction in the number of active firms from 92 to 90, the industry experienced significant expansion. Hurma Lombard maintained its position as the market leader in both assets and capital. Several smaller entities, such as Zoloto and Klassik Lombard, reported substantial growth in assets and charter capital. Currently, 68 pawnshops manage assets exceeding 2 billion soums, accounting for the vast majority of the sector's total financial holdings.
