Conversely, Thailand has experienced a decline in foreign arrivals, partly attributed to stricter immigration enforcement and a slower recovery in the Chinese market. Recent statistics indicate that the visitor volume difference between the two nations has shrunk to approximately five million, marking a major change in the competitive landscape of Southeast Asian tourism. As Vietnam continues to see double-digit growth, Thailand faces ongoing challenges in maintaining its status as the region's primary destination for international travelers.
