Recent updates to electoral rolls have led to a notable reduction in the number of registered voters across two Indian states. Official data indicates that Manipur experienced a decrease of more than 6% in its total electorate, while Sikkim saw a sharper decline of 11% following the revision process. Despite the overall drop in Manipur, the state maintains a higher number of female electors compared to their male counterparts. Specifically, there are 1,006,962 registered female voters against 953,350 male voters, establishing a gender ratio of 1,056 women for every 1,000 men in the state's electoral records.
