During the third iteration of the Qatar National Library’s “Write to Inspire” initiative, AI expert and author Mohammed al-Qassabi discussed the limitations of machine-generated literature. While acknowledging that artificial intelligence can create dozens of books within minutes through simple prompts, al-Qassabi argued that these tools cannot replicate the unique human perspective or emotional resonance that defines authentic authorship. He emphasized that the value of a book lies in the intellectual contribution and personal viewpoint of the writer, which technology currently fails to emulate. Al-Qassabi suggested that writers should focus on utilizing AI as a supportive tool rather than allowing it to replace the critical thinking process essential to storytelling and knowledge sharing. Ultimately, the quality of a literary work remains dependent on the human intent behind the technology rather than the speed of the automated output.
