During his address at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang emphasized the need to enhance regional collaboration between China and Russia. Ding, who also serves on the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, advocated for greater alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union. Additionally, he proposed connecting China's domestic strategy for revitalizing its northeastern region with Russia's development plans for the Far East, noting that bilateral ties have expanded under the continuous guidance of the two countries' leaders.
