During the ongoing power abuse trial of former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, defense lawyer Datuk Amer Hamzah Arshad raised serious concerns in the High Court. Amer accused a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer of engaging in intimidation tactics aimed at damaging his professional reputation. The lawyer challenged prosecution witness Mazery Mohd Zaini regarding a police report filed by a colleague, which Amer claims contains inaccurate information. This report specifically mentions the defense team's efforts to introduce a classified document as evidence in the current proceedings. Amer suggested that the MACC official who filed the report acted based on details provided by the trial's lead investigator, leading to allegations of improper conduct intended to influence the legal process.
