The Delhi High Court has turned down a petition from student leader Neha Bora, who sought to contest a legal notice requiring her to sign a bond to ensure peace. Bora, who heads the All India Students’ Association, was detained on October 16 during a demonstration near Barakhamba Road calling for the resignation of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Following her overnight detention at the RK Puram Police Station, a special executive magistrate issued a directive on October 17 ordering her to provide a personal bond of Rs 10,000 along with a surety. The court's decision upholds the magistrate's order, which mandates the bond to maintain order throughout the duration of the ongoing inquiry into the incident.
