The Registered Fire Service Installation Contractors Disciplinary Board has officially postponed upcoming hearings concerning two fire safety firms linked to the Wang Fuk Court fire. Victory Fire Engineering Limited and China Status Development and Engineering Company Limited were scheduled to face proceedings regarding allegations that they failed to maintain fire safety systems properly before last year's major incident. The Fire Services Department confirmed that the hearings were adjourned until further notice following a joint request from the involved parties. This delay is intended to provide both sides with additional time to prepare their cases. The disciplinary process aims to address potential negligence by the contractors responsible for the building's fire safety infrastructure prior to the blaze.
