Dubai Airports has launched a new initiative titled 'Click and Travel' designed to streamline passenger processing. By utilizing mobile devices, airport personnel can now manage entry and exit formalities for travelers without requiring them to visit traditional counters. The system integrates facial recognition technology and electronic passport scanning, connected directly to official databases, to complete each transaction in roughly 12 to 15 seconds. This digital upgrade aims to enhance passenger flow, minimize wait times, and provide a more efficient and secure travel experience for residents and visitors alike. This development is part of a broader effort at Dubai airports to modernize infrastructure, following other recent improvements such as the removal of requirements to take off shoes, belts, or remove liquids during security screenings.
