Sharan Budhrani, a 36-year-old Dubai resident, is set to release his book, Chasing Kites, which details his life experiences living with muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed at nine and a wheelchair user since his teens, Budhrani recounts the challenges of enduring bullying and social isolation. Despite these hardships, he discovered a sense of purpose through art and poetry, eventually becoming one of the first artists with disabilities to be granted a 10-year golden visa in the UAE for his cultural contributions. The book explores his battle with depression and his commitment to maintaining mental resilience. By sharing his story, Budhrani aims to inspire others facing physical limitations to persevere and reject negative mindsets that hinder personal growth. His narrative emphasizes the importance of finding inner strength and embracing one's unique identity despite external adversity.
