The final phase of a major infrastructure project at the Dubai World Trade Centre junction has been completed with the opening of a new bridge on Friday, October 30. This development, valued at Dh696 million, replaces the former oval roundabout with a sophisticated intersection featuring five bridges. The new 1,000-metre, two-lane structure facilitates traffic flow from Al Majlis Street toward 2nd December Street, with a capacity of approximately 3,000 vehicles per hour. Authorities anticipate that these comprehensive road network improvements, which include new flyovers and lane configurations, will significantly reduce traffic congestion. Specifically, the average waiting time for motorists is expected to decrease from 12 minutes to approximately 90 seconds, enhancing overall transit efficiency in this high-traffic area of the city.
