The European Parliament has formally adopted a resolution expressing support for the sovereignty and security of Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government. Lawmakers condemned recent missile and drone strikes conducted by Houthi forces against Saudi territory, labeling these actions as clear breaches of international humanitarian law. The resolution emphasizes that such military aggression has worsened the humanitarian situation in Yemen, resulting in significant civilian casualties and mass displacement. Consequently, the legislative body has urged the Council of the European Union to officially classify the Houthi movement—encompassing its political, military, and security branches—as a terrorist organization. This move reflects a broader parliamentary stance against the ongoing military escalation in the region.
