A blaze erupted on Wednesday afternoon within a restaurant situated on the fifth level of the six-story Centrepoint Shopping Mall. The facility is located in the Uttara area, in close proximity to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. According to officials from the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the incident commenced at approximately 12:45pm. The flames quickly extended from the initial site of the fire, prompting an emergency response. Authorities were alerted to the situation shortly after the fire began, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene to manage the emergency and prevent further escalation within the commercial building.
