Authorities have conducted a quality assessment of 17 restaurants and hotels situated along major highways in the Dhading district. This inspection was initiated by the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control following numerous reports from travelers regarding poor sanitation, substandard food quality, and inflated pricing. Out of the establishments evaluated in the Thakre, Dhunibesi, and Galchhi regions, 14 were issued yellow stickers, indicating a need for improvement. Only three businesses achieved a green sticker rating, with two establishments receiving a two-star 'good' classification and one receiving a one-star 'satisfactory' rating. The government's intervention aims to address public concerns regarding hygiene and service standards for passengers using public transport along these busy transit corridors.
