The Hong Kong Pride Parade Organising Committee has announced the cancellation of its "Rainbow Market" event, which was slated to take place this November. According to a statement released on social media, the booking at Central Market was retracted due to an administrative oversight that resulted in a scheduling conflict with another organization. This marks the second consecutive year the group has seen a venue booking fall through after making an official announcement. Last year, a similar situation occurred when a planned festival at the Kwun Tong Promenade was cancelled unexpectedly. The organizers expressed that the venue was no longer accessible for their use at that time. This latest development highlights ongoing difficulties for the committee in securing stable locations for their community gatherings in the city.
