Mumbai authorities have issued a notice requiring actor Imran Khan to exit the country by October 28. This directive follows his involvement in a demonstration at August Kranti Maidan, where protesters called for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police officials stated the action was taken because Khan is not an Indian citizen. Although he holds a United States passport, Khan possesses an Overseas Citizen of India card, which typically grants foreign nationals of Indian descent the right to reside and work in the country indefinitely. The official notice warns that failure to adhere to this departure deadline may result in deportation, detention, or being blacklisted from future entry. The police have commenced formal proceedings regarding his status following his participation in the public agitation.
