Bukhansan National Park has seen a notable rise in international hikers reaching the summit of Baegundae. Standing at 836 meters, the peak offers panoramic views of the capital city and features a prominent South Korean flag where visitors frequently pause for photographs. According to Park Sun-gyu, a public relations official with the Korea National Park Service, the proportion of non-Korean hikers on the trail has grown significantly over the last three years. On recent occasions, international tourists have accounted for over half of the individuals navigating the granite terrain near the summit. This trend highlights the growing popularity of Seoul's mountainous landscape among the global community as a destination for outdoor recreation and sightseeing.
