Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has declared her intention to strongly contest any efforts by the Lebanese company Global Royalty Trading SAL to enforce a RM67.5 million court judgment against her. Her legal representatives stated that such enforcement actions are premature because her appeal against the High Court ruling is still pending. The Court of Appeal is scheduled to hear the case on March 25 next year. Rosmah continues to assert that the jewellery firm's claims are entirely without legal or factual merit. This response follows an announcement by Global Royalty’s counsel, Datuk David Gurupatham, who indicated that the company intends to move forward with enforcement measures after the former prime minister's wife failed to make a required deposit.
