A bus driver and his conductor were attacked by a group of six men in the Nagas Junction area of Kalutara on the evening of October 27. The assailants, who were traveling on three motorcycles, obstructed the path of the luxury vehicle as it was returning to its parking location after completing a route from Colombo. The entire incident was recorded by an onboard security camera. Law enforcement officials believe the violence was a retaliatory act linked to an earlier disagreement in Moratuwa, where the conductor had reportedly denied a passenger entry onto the bus. The conductor suffered injuries during the altercation and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the assault.
