India has officially joined a coalition of 25 nations, led by the United States, to collaborate on the future of 6G telecommunications technology. This international partnership aims to prioritize network security, interoperability, and the integration of trusted artificial intelligence. The announcement followed discussions between Indian Minister of State for Commerce Jitin Prasada and US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick during the G20 Innovation Ministerial in North Carolina. Beyond this global alliance, India is actively pursuing its own Bharat 6G Mission, which seeks to establish the nation as a primary hub for intellectual property and cost-effective telecom solutions. During the ministerial visit, Indian officials also explored deeper bilateral cooperation with the US regarding semiconductors, data centers, and artificial intelligence, reinforcing New Delhi's commitment to strengthening its role in the global digital economy and technological innovation landscape.
