Representatives from Uzbekistan and Pakistan recently met to discuss strengthening bilateral ties within the mining and geological sectors. The discussions centered on leveraging the combined expertise of both nations to foster innovation and industrial growth. A key focus of the dialogue was the establishment of a formal partnership between the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan. The parties aim to facilitate the exchange of academic staff, researchers, and industry specialists between the University of Geological Sciences and NUST. Furthermore, the collaboration will prioritize joint scientific research, the development of specialized educational programs, and the enhancement of training capabilities. By integrating academic knowledge with practical industry experience, both countries intend to improve the quality of professional training and expand their cooperative projects in the fields of geology and mining.
