Recent data released by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics indicates that the nation is facing a significant unemployment crisis among its younger population. Out of a total of 2.624 million unemployed individuals across the country, approximately 2.032 million fall within the 15 to 29 age bracket. Furthermore, the International Monetary Fund has highlighted that nearly 36 percent of these unemployed young people possess higher education qualifications. These figures underscore a growing challenge for the labor market in absorbing a large number of skilled graduates, reflecting a mismatch between the current educational output and available employment opportunities within the national economy.
