Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged in separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Hakan Fidan and Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. These discussions focused on regional stability and security concerns regarding the Strait of Hormuz. The diplomatic outreach followed reports of naval hostilities between Iranian forces and the United States. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps stated that it launched ballistic missiles at American naval vessels and intercepted a remotely operated vehicle near the southern coast of Iran. Tehran characterized these actions as a response to recent United States military strikes and maritime operations in the region. The consultations aimed to address the ongoing tensions and the impact of American naval presence on regional security.
