The Quick Response Support Team (QRS), an organization comprising journalists, academics, and civil society members, has issued a formal condemnation regarding the recent murder of Lutfuzzaman Alif Fakir in Netrokona. The group is calling for a swift and unbiased inquiry to identify and prosecute those responsible for the killing, including any individuals who may have orchestrated the attack. Fakir, who served as a correspondent for the IPTV channel Ruposhi Bangla and managed a digital news platform, was fatally shot in Durgapur on October 15. Beyond the immediate investigation into his death, the QRS has requested an official review of prior threats made against the journalist to determine if local authorities failed to provide adequate protection. The organization maintains that accountability for both the perpetrators and the masterminds is essential to ensuring justice in this case.
