Authorities in Kavrepalanchok have announced a temporary prohibition on the movement of tipper trucks throughout the district to coincide with the Dashain festival. According to the District Administration Office, the restriction will be enforced from October 17 through October 26, covering the period from Phulpati to the full moon day. This measure was finalized during a District Security Committee meeting held on October 13. The primary objective of this suspension is to enhance road safety and mitigate the risk of traffic accidents. Officials noted that the influx of passenger vehicles during the holiday season often leads to significant congestion on key routes, such as the BP and Araniko Highways. By removing heavy tipper traffic from these roads, the administration aims to facilitate safer and more efficient travel for the public during the major national celebration.
