GovTech Sri Lanka has announced a nationwide incentive program to promote the adoption of LankaQR payment systems among consumers and business owners. Starting October 27, the initiative will distribute 51 million rupees in cash rewards to over 6,000 participants over a six-month period. Transactions conducted between September 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027, are automatically entered into the draw without needing additional registration. Weekly prizes of 5,000 rupees will be awarded to 250 winners, split evenly between merchants and customers. Additionally, a monthly grand draw will select six individuals to receive top-tier prizes ranging from 250,000 to 1 million rupees. This campaign is designed to increase digital payment usage across the country by rewarding active users of the platform.
