Nepal's Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, has pledged that the government is actively working to resolve the grievances of those affected by the Gen-Z movement. Speaking at an event marking Gen-Z Martyr Day, the minister emphasized that officials are holding daily consultations to address the needs of injured protesters and the families of martyrs. She acknowledged the challenges of navigating the government's administrative structure but stressed that the administration remains dedicated to the movement's goals of anti-corruption and good governance. Minister Gautam urged the movement's participants to maintain unity, warning that internal divisions would only benefit political opponents. While noting that legislative progress has been complicated by constitutional constraints, she requested public patience and reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that the state-led violence experienced in August of last year is never repeated.
