Authorities in Malaysia have initiated a comprehensive search and rescue mission to locate six individuals who failed to return from a hiking trip at Gunung Trans Gerah in Lojing, Kelantan. The group, consisting of two professional mountain guides and four members of the same family, has been missing for four days. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department is coordinating the operation, which utilizes land, air, and water resources. Specialized teams, including the Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team and forestry mountain guides, are being deployed to Pos Kemar via boats from Gerik and off-road vehicles from Sungai Siput. The mobilization follows a report received by officials on Friday afternoon regarding the overdue hikers. Rescue personnel are navigating difficult terrain to reach the remote area where the group was last expected.
