Approximately 50 pupils from the National School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty have received medical treatment after suffering from acute intestinal infection symptoms. Local health authorities confirmed that 47 students were admitted to the City Children’s Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital between October 12 and 13. While social media reports suggested cases of E. coli and a three-day school quarantine, officials are currently monitoring the affected children. The situation gained public attention after family members of the students shared concerns online regarding the nature of the illness and the school's response. Medical staff are providing ongoing care to the hospitalized students as investigations into the cause of the outbreak continue.
