A newly constructed school in the Akkol village of Kazakhstan's Kurmangazy District has sparked concerns among local residents due to its isolated location. The facility was built approximately 3.5 kilometers away from the residential area, forcing students to endure a difficult journey to attend classes. Parents report that the trek takes over 90 minutes on foot, raising significant safety issues for the children. Furthermore, the lack of paved roads prevents the implementation of a school bus service, leaving students to navigate unpaved paths in the open steppe. Residents have expressed frustration regarding the planning decisions that led to the school being situated so far from the community it is intended to serve.
