Lee Song Kun, a 90-year-old resident, manages a noodle stall at Block 183 Toa Payoh Central, working nine-hour shifts alone. He established the business three months ago following a seven-month recovery period from a hand injury sustained during a fall at an MRT station. Lee, who has been involved in the hawker trade since age 17, previously sold various dishes including laksa and prawn noodles. He decided to return to work to maintain an active lifestyle after the passing of his wife, finding his time at home lacked purpose. Although his daughter expressed concerns regarding his health and advanced age, Lee proceeded with opening the stall to stay occupied.
