Tuesday marks the first anniversary of the youth-led movement that triggered significant political transformation in Nepal. This uprising was primarily driven by widespread public dissatisfaction regarding systemic corruption and ineffective governance. In the aftermath, the political landscape shifted dramatically as the Rastriya Swatantra Party gained substantial electoral support, effectively sidelining established political entities. Despite these changes, ongoing friction persists between the newly empowered factions and the traditional parties they replaced. As the nation reflects on the past twelve months, various celebrities who supported or engaged in the original demonstrations have shared their perspectives on whether the movement's core goals are being realized under the current administration. The discourse highlights a cautious optimism regarding the potential for continued reform amidst a complex and evolving political environment.
