The recently introduced dark blue uniforms for motorcycle taxi drivers in Pattaya may be replaced after only six days of use. Following discussions between Chon Buri Member of Parliament Yodchai Peungporn and Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, concerns regarding the visibility and overall safety of the new attire were highlighted. Critics argued that the dark color failed to adhere to standard safety protocols for road transport workers. During a parliamentary session, Yodchai raised these issues, noting that the Deputy Prime Minister was previously unaware of the uniform modification. Upon reviewing the potential risks, Anutin reportedly agreed that the blue vests could compromise driver safety and subsequently issued instructions to address the situation, likely leading to a return to the original orange vests used by the local taxi community.
