A recent initiative titled '1,000 Cans of Hope' has been introduced by Pharm-D Health Science in collaboration with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM). This program focuses on the critical role of specialized nutrition for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The project highlights the experiences of patients like Puan Suzana, who faced significant challenges with appetite loss and difficulty swallowing during chemotherapy. To address these nutritional gaps, the initiative promotes the use of immunonutrition formulas such as Valens Onthera+. By providing these specialized supplements, the partnership aims to assist patients in maintaining their strength and weight throughout the recovery process. This effort underscores the importance of integrating nutritional support into standard cancer care protocols to improve patient outcomes and daily comfort during rigorous medical treatments.
