An early morning burglary at the Renoir Museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer resulted in the theft of three valuable paintings. According to local officials, the intruders entered the facility shortly before 6:00 am on Tuesday. Although law enforcement officers pursued the suspects during their escape, the perpetrators managed to flee with the majority of the stolen items, dropping only one piece of art during the chase. While the specific titles of the missing works remain undisclosed, reports estimate the total value of the stolen collection at approximately 9 million euros. The museum, established in 1960, is located within the former residence of the renowned impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Local leadership has condemned the incident as a significant assault on the cultural heritage of the region.
