A recent analysis by the Power and Participation Research Centre indicates that Bangladesh is currently struggling with three interconnected structural challenges. The first issue involves significant financial pressure on families, who are increasingly relying on debt or savings to cover basic living costs. Secondly, the nation is experiencing a period of stagnant investment, which has negatively impacted overall GDP growth. Finally, the report highlights systemic deficiencies within political and administrative governance. These combined factors have created a cycle characterized by elevated poverty levels, diminished investment, and sluggish economic expansion. Consequently, the population is dealing with persistent inflation, rising debt, and job instability. The research organization emphasizes that these institutional weaknesses are placing a heavy burden on ordinary citizens, necessitating a strategic shift to escape this ongoing economic crisis.
