Qatar and Spain have officially entered into a security partnership ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. This commitment was formalized through a Letter of Intent signed by Qatari Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and his Spanish counterpart, Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez. The agreement focuses on establishing a framework for collaborative security measures between the interior ministries of both nations to ensure the safety of the upcoming tournament. During the diplomatic visit to Spain, the two officials also held discussions regarding the broader strengthening of bilateral relations and explored various avenues to enhance cooperation in security-related matters and other areas of shared interest.
