A unique white Gyrfalcon was auctioned for Dh2.1 million, approximately $571,000, during the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition. This transaction establishes a new global benchmark for the highest price ever achieved for a falcon at a public auction. The bird, which was imported from the United States, surpassed the previous record of $467,000 set in Riyadh in 2021. This event concluded a series of successful sales at the exhibition, where other high-value birds also reached significant prices, including a Qarmousha Pure Ultra White that sold for Dh1.5 million earlier in the event. The auction highlights the continued demand for elite falcons within the region's traditional hunting and breeding community.
