Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte has initiated legal action by filing libel and cyberlibel complaints at the Davao City Hall of Justice. The lawsuit targets NBI Director Melvin Matibag, former police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., and various executives and journalists from GMA Network. The legal challenge stems from public allegations regarding purported cash deliveries made to the Duterte family. Among the media figures named in the complaint are network chairman Felipe Gozon, CEO Gilberto Duavit Jr., and news anchors Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales, and Emil Sumangil. Additionally, reporters Darlene Cay, Marvin Parado, and Joel San Luis are listed as respondents. The congressman asserts that the statements broadcast and reported by these individuals are false and have caused significant harm to his personal reputation and that of his family members.
