The Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry announced on Saturday that five citizens were executed in the Eastern Province following convictions for terrorism-related crimes. The individuals, identified as Mohammed Al Zaher, Ali Al Sheikh, Hassan Al Faraj, Reda Al Abu Abdullah, and Ali Al Rabih, were found guilty of joining a foreign terrorist group. According to official reports, the men were involved in armed attacks against security personnel, the possession of illegal weaponry, and providing financial backing for domestic violence. The judicial process involved a tazir sentence, which allows judges discretion in cases without fixed penalties under Islamic law. These capital sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Court after an appeals process, and the final execution was authorized through a royal decree.
