The Saudi Transport General Authority has announced an extension for road transport operators to comply with national regulations until February 27, 2027. This decision, approved by Minister Saleh Al-Jasser, applies to both commercial and non-commercial freight services, as well as private bus transportation. The extension provides companies with more time to update their commercial registrations with necessary activity classifications required for licensing under the Land Transport Law. By pushing back the deadline, the government aims to facilitate a smoother transition for businesses to align their operations with current legal frameworks and implementing regulations. This move covers various sectors, including heavy and light freight transport, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders have sufficient opportunity to meet the updated standards for operating within the Kingdom.
