The National Environment Agency of Singapore has issued an advisory warning that the city-state is expected to experience hazy conditions over the next several days. As of early September 15, 2026, the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index reached 145, placing air quality in the unhealthy category. Authorities attribute this deterioration to prevailing winds from the southeast and dry weather patterns affecting the region. While brief rain showers occurred in some areas on Monday, the overall air quality remains a concern. Previous readings on Monday evening showed the 24-hour index fluctuating between 88 and 120, alongside elevated one-hour PM2.5 concentrations. Residents are advised to monitor official updates as the environmental agency continues to track the movement of the haze.
