South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and French President Emmanuel Macron have announced a collaborative financial initiative to bolster their respective film and audiovisual sectors. During the inaugural Lumiere Summit held in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the two leaders introduced the Lumiere Partnership, a strategic framework designed to help the industry adapt to significant structural and technological shifts. Both nations have pledged 500 million euros each, totaling 1 billion euros, to support this cooperative effort. The investment program is scheduled to commence operations in 2027, aiming to strengthen the international competitiveness of both countries' creative media landscapes amidst a rapidly evolving global market.
