The South Korean Defense Ministry is exploring the implementation of artificial intelligence to process the training records of approximately 1.7 million reservists annually. This initiative aims to bolster the nation's reserve forces as the military faces a declining number of active-duty soldiers. Officials confirmed that a study has been commissioned to develop a system capable of gathering and evaluating performance data from the reserve pool. Currently, South Korea maintains a total of 2.56 million reservists, with a significant majority participating in yearly mobilization exercises. By leveraging advanced data analytics, the military intends to optimize training efficiency and maintain operational readiness despite demographic challenges affecting personnel levels.
